Client Dashboard

The Client Dashboard in Blueprint Studio gives clients a secure, organized view of their active projects. From this dashboard, clients can view proposals, invoices, budgets, shared files, and make payments — but only for documents that have been explicitly shared with them.

The client dashboard is always read-only. Clients can view and interact with shared content but cannot edit or delete anything.

Inviting a Client

Clients need to be invited before they can access the dashboard.

1

Invite a client

  • Go to Settings → Users or open the Client tab within a project.

  • Click Invite User.

  • Enter the client’s name and email address.

  • Assign the Client role.

  • Click Send Invitation.

The client receives an email invitation with a secure link to set their password and access their account.

2

Clients must have the Client role to log in and access the dashboard.

Access & Permissions

Clients can only view projects they are assigned to. Within each project, they can only see documents that have been marked as Shared with Client.

From their dashboard, clients may access:

  • Proposals — to review and approve shared documents

  • Invoices — to review balances and make payments

  • Budgets — to see approved spending and allocations

  • Files & Folders — to view shared project documents

  • Payments — to complete payments securely online

Viewing Proposals

Clients can view and approve proposals shared with them.

1

Open the proposal

  • From the Client Dashboard, open a project.

  • Click the Proposals tab.

  • Select a shared proposal.

  • Review item details, pricing, and notes.

2

Approve or comment

  • Click Approve Proposal to approve it in full.

  • If commenting is enabled, clients can leave notes or questions directly in the proposal.

Proposal approvals are recorded with a timestamp and stored in the project history for reference.

Viewing Invoices and Making Payments

Clients can view invoices and pay securely online.

1

Open an invoice

  • From the Client Dashboard, open a project.

  • Click the Invoices tab.

  • Open an invoice to review details.

2

Pay an invoice

  • Click Pay Now to complete payment via credit card or ACH.

Once payment is made, the invoice status updates automatically, and both you and the client receive an email confirmation.

3

Clients can also view payment history from the same tab for full transparency.

Viewing Budgets

If a budget has been shared, clients can view project-level financial summaries.

1

Open the budget

  • From the Client Dashboard, select a project.

  • Click the Budget tab.

  • Review the shared summary, which may include:

    • Category or Room breakdowns

    • Estimated vs. actual totals

    • Projected balance

2

Accessing Shared Files & Folders

You can share files and folders with clients directly from the project’s Attachments section.

1

View shared files

  • Clients open the Files tab in their dashboard.

  • They can view any folder or document marked as “Visible to Client.”

  • Files can be downloaded directly from the dashboard.

2

Keep naming clear and organized — clients see exactly what’s marked as visible.

Making Other Payments (Deposits or Retainers)

Clients can also pay for Retainers and Deposits directly from the dashboard when shared.

1

Pay a retainer or deposit

  • Open the Payments tab or find the related document (Retainer or Deposit).

  • Click Pay Now.

  • Complete payment securely online.

2

After payment

  • The payment is recorded automatically in the project ledger.

The client receives a receipt immediately after payment is processed.
