🧮 Calculation Strategies Explained
The Calculation Strategy determines how Blueprint Studio computes pricing relationships:
Calculate Price
Price is calculated from cost × markup.
Calculate Markup
Markup is calculated from cost and price.
Calculate Cost
Cost is derived from price ÷ (1 + markup%).
All totals (price, cost, tax, tariff, and shipping) are recalculated automatically as you enter or change values.
📊 Totals
Subtotal Cost
Unit Cost × Quantity.
Subtotal Price
Unit Price × Quantity.
Total
Full client total including shipping, tariff, and sales tax.
🧩 Relationship to Bundles
If the item is a component of a Bundle, certain fields are locked automatically:
The quantity field becomes read-only and determined by the bundle’s total quantity.
The cost is auto-calculated from the component setup.
Bundle totals are recalculated whenever components change.
📈 Tax & Totals Overview
Blueprint Studio automatically determines the correct tax code based on the hierarchy:
